Metrics monitoring and time-series storage service that scrapes the configured WireGuard and Pushgateway
endpoints.

## Deployment layout

- **Compose:** `/srv/docker/prometheus/docker-compose.yml`
- **Static configuration/source:** `/srv/docker/prometheus/config/prometheus.yml`
- **Non-secret environment:** none
- **Secrets:** none
- **NVMe application state:** `/srv/appdata/prometheus/data`
- **Bulk HDD data:** none
- **Other mounts:** none

Secrets are never committed to this repository. This deployment declares no
secret files or environment files.

## Dependencies and recovery

- **Networks/dependencies:** external `npm_proxy` network at `192.168.96.14`; configured scrape targets are the
WireGuard metrics endpoint at `10.7.0.1:8787` and Pushgateway at `192.168.1.3:9091`
- **Back up:** `/srv/docker/prometheus/config/prometheus.yml` and `/srv/appdata/prometheus/data` when historical
metrics must be retained
- **Re-creatable:** the Prometheus container; no separate cache or temporary-data mount is declared
